When was the first moment you decided you wanted to be an artist?

I remember the time when I was a child and spent a lot of hours drawing, it was fun, I couldn´t see the time passing. But it was when I had 17/18 years that I really decided that I would like to do this as a job, maybe because of the cartoons, but I really wanted to draw and do this to live, putting together the passion I with a style of life.

Where do you find your inspiration?

Surely, first of all in my family, my wife and son. Sometimes, I just have to observe them to have a great idea, or it cames when I am playing some game with my son. It is a great source of ideas and inspiration. The country where I live, Brazil, is also a big source of inspiration, the mix of colors that are everywhere has a big influence  in what I do.

If you could work with another artist, who would it be? / who is your favorite artist?

I would love to work with Joshua Davis (http://www.joshuadavis.com/), I have already had an opportunity to be invited for him to work in a Microsoft project, but it would be an incredible pleasure to be in person with him, producing some job together. It is certain that Joshua is my favorite artist, he is the influence of what I do today, trying to do art with program codes. The base of my job has a big influence of what I saw about his job in that time, and trying to create my own style.

What has been the best moment in your career?

The year of 2008 was the best moment in my career, I don´t remember to work so hard before. :-) It was incredibles projects and to do a job to Nike that year, was like to reach one of the goals that I had to stipulate many years before.

What is your ideal day?

My ideal day is very simple in reality. I like those days that I can enjoy with my family, we can go lunch in a different place, going to the Chocolate Festival, for example. It is something that make me work the rest of week happy and inspired.

I want to reach 60/65 years with a good house, in a calm beach, with my wife in my side and knowing that create well my son and he is know a person better that I am. Because we always want the best for our son, and it would make me happy. Maybe a good internet and some online game to rains moments, it would be great. :-)

Who is your role model?

I think my father is my model, even with all difficulties, as no job, the bankruptcy of the company and other situations that we passed in my childhood and teenager time. He was always with my mother, and together they created me and my 2 brothers, facing all the problems that appeared. Their effort made me what I am know.

If you could do anything, what would it be?

First of all, I would to bring Jon Snow from the deads, and after to survive a zombie apocalypse.

Why do you create art?

I have never thought about why, or a sense for everything. But basically I create to take the idea or the image from my head, that always disturb me to sleep. It is also can be to express something, once I don´t talk a lot. My wife was say that my images says more than I can see, and that they talks with us somehow.

What art do you most identify with?

The Art Nouveau was always a great passion, the fluid and a mix of patterns added with the beautiful women, it was always something that caught my attention. And after Art Deco, with all those geometric stuffs, and a function totally to decorate. Those two are really the one I most identify more.

How has your art changed throughout your life?

This is a hard question, because I can´t see my life without the art, I can´t see me without doing this, I really can´t imagine this. When we´re inside the thing we can´t see very well the changes that happened. But for sure I can say the art was growing up with me and my ages, it is more mature now, just like me.

What is your dream project?

My project is to work with it like until the end, this is my dream project.

What is the best piece of advice you have received?

I would say: don´t be ashamed to knock every door to show what you do. It was the best advice that I received in my career 13 years ago. Following this I reached some contacts of job, the managers that represent me, and other victories in my life.
