When was the first moment you decided you wanted to be an artist?
I started to have interest in art and drawing at the age of 13 years. I remember that the only alternative at the time was a public girls' school, as my family could not afford to pay for a private school. So I ended up in a slum on the outskirts of the south of Milan.. coming myself from a dodgy town, I was comfortable though. To get to school I had to change four buses and took me about 1 hour and a half daily round trip. But it was what I wanted, and now I owe so much to that school. My favorite subjects were all there, drawing, life drawing, graphic design, history of art and photography.

Wow! We had no idea, what a childhood!

Where do you find your inspiration?
I think I'm very influenced by what I read at the time or the books of art and illustration that I leaf through and definitely from the movies that I watch. My adolescence was marked mainly by horror movies on Friday nights and metal music. I remember the covers of Iron Maiden as masterpieces!
If you could work with another artist, who would it be? / who is your favorite artist?
I have great respect for different people in the arts and that fascinate me and over the same way. Georg Baselitz, Jim Phillips, Cleon Peterson, Ed "Big Daddy" Roth, just to name a few .. but if I could only choose one it would be Picasso (lol).

What has been the best moment in your career?
Certainly when I realized I could keep myself alone without being subject to any boss. I don't like bosses in general. And I think freedom is the most precious thing for a man.

What is your ideal day?
A good breakfast, a jog along the river, walking through the woods or a trip to the lake .. simple things. Not worrying about anything.

Who is your role model?
I don't think I have one, but as a child I dreamed of being like Ozzy Osbourne.

If you could do anything, what would it be?
Playing in Black Sabbath.

Why do you create art?
Because it's the only thing I can do and I feel fortunate to be able to make a living out of what I like to do.

What art do you most identify with?
Traditional hand drawing, linocut techniques, lost art... everything that is wicked, often humorous subject matter.
Wicked and humor always makes a good combo!
How has your art changed throughout your life?
I always wanted as a child to become an illustrator and work as a graphic designer. My style has evolved and went through several stages of my life. I always tried to do something that would please me in the first place. And if other people appreciate what I do, it's a benefit.

What is your dream project?
I would love to have a space where artists can show their art. A meeting point more than a gallery from which can give rise to different projects and exchanges of ideas. It would be a dream.. I wonder.
What is the best piece of advice you have received?
Learn something new every day and don't waste time on things that don't matter.
